JAMES Alderson finished up at tough rookie season in the Hel Performance Motostar standard championship this past weekend at Brands hatch, Kent.
The youngster from Durham in the North East of England had started the season at round three due to an error with shipping of his Honda NSF250R from HRC. Despite this, James worked hard to get to know his machine and what he and it were capable of.
The teenagers weekend was to mirror many others as he was hampered by a re-occurring technical issue whilst trying to get drive out of the corners on to the straights.
James qualified in twelfth position on the grid in the standard class and battled hard in both races to take two eleventh places. Despite the issues the young racer faced throughout the season, he placed eleventh in the championship and is eager to get back on track ahead of 2017 once his Honda Moto3 machine is refreshed and prepared for war.
“That’s the season over” added James “I finished 11th in both races at Brands Hatch GP. It’s been a challenging year getting used to the bike and setting up the bike for the races but I have had an amazing time at BSB. It was good to ride alongside another member of Bikewise Rishon Hickeywho did great. A special Thank You to Dad, Mum and Lee Vasey.
